Admission and Retention Policies
Holy Cross College of Calinan College Department extends a warm welcome to everyone who can benefit from its varied educational programs. Admission is granted with an explicit understanding that the student is willing to comply with the academic and non-academic rules, regulations and policies of the school.
However, the school reserves the right to refuse admission or to dismiss any student involved in willful violations of the said rules , regulations, and policies.
Admission Requirements
A high school graduate seeking admission must undergo the following procedures:
- take placement examination at the Guidance Office;
- attend the parent and student orientation;
- submit for an interview to the Dean and Program Head or to an authorized representative; and
- submit the requirements for admission to the registrar:
- First Year (Degree Courses)
- Placement Examination Result
- Orientation Slip
- Form 138-A (Report Card)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- Marriage Contract (if married)
- 4 pieces (1×1) & 1 pc. (2×2) ID Pictures with light blue background
- Photocopy of NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate
- Police Clearance (if not coming from Region XI)
- Baptismal Certificate
- Transferees
- Placement Examination Result
- Orientation Slip
- Certificate of Transfer Credential
- Transcript of Records
- Certification of Good Moral Character
- Police Clearance (if not coming from Region XI)
- Marriage Contract (if married)
- Photocopy of NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate
- 4 pcs. (1×1) & 1 pc. (2×2) ID pictures with light blue background
- Baptismal Certificate
A transferee is under probation for one year or two semesters. Students under probation (transferee or upper class) should give priority to academic subjects than extra curricular activities. They are expected to comply with the rules and regulation of the school as stipulated in the Student Handbook and Manual of Regulations for Private Schools. Any violation thereof will be considered ground for non-readmission in the next school year.
Cross-Enrollment
The Dean may authorize a student to cross enroll provided that the following conditions are observed:
- the subject is not offered in his/her mother school;
- the student is graduating in the succeeding school year or the year end when he/she plans to cross-enroll.
The Dean reserves the right to choose the school within the city/region where the student may cross-enroll.
